“I was a little worried about the 22km climb on the stage, and the 50km of crosswind before getting there. I had the guys play a conservative role today and only ride to protect our climbers Nathan, Doriand and Ulugbek. Of course, they needed to ride at the front as a team and be prepared for any split in the crosswinds. Overall, I was happy with how the guys rode today.”
