A Strong Start for Jacopo in the Tour of the Gila

First stage of the 37th edition of the Tour of the Gila was a 148km long route with 1,816 meters of climbing through beautiful Grant County in New Mexico.

Development Team Head Coach Sergey Lagutin:

“Today was one of the easier stages, and I told the guys to stay covered in the bunch and wait until the last climb.”

“Jacopo (Colladon) did a good job. He defended his position very well. Although he was eventually dropped with 5 kilometers left, his performance is a positive sign for the rest of the Tour.”
