Heavy rain and hills test TNN Devo team in Tour of Istanbul Stage 2

The second stage of the Tour of Istanbul wasn’t any easier. The heavy rain made the already challenging race even harder. With the start and finish in the coastal city of Şile and a distance of 132 km, Team Novo Nordisk Development Team fought their best.

Development Team Head Coach Sergey Lagutin:

“Today was another rainy and hilly, hard stage. The group started the first climb almost immediately, and after 20 km, 20 riders dropped out. Antonio (Polga) and Doriand (Percrule) were both among them, and they worked together to try to get back to the peloton, but it wasn’t to be.“

“On the other hand, Justin (McQuerry) had a great day, making it through most of the stage in the peloton. All riders worked hard today. We’ll keep fighting tomorrow and hope for better results.”
