Lozano enjoys a better day on stage two in Limousin

Head Sports Director Massimo Podenzana:
“Today went a little better, the climbs came later in the stage and even though we started to lose contact over the latter stages of the race David showed something more and he managed to stay with the main bunch until the end of the stage. That’s a lot more positive than yesterday.”
“We knew what we were in for here, we know the race and the roads so I would like it if we can stay together for longer tomorrow and the other guys can try to help support David, either to get up the road in the breakaway or for a better stage result.”
David Lozano:
“I felt better today. The first hour was quite frustrating because I tried repeatedly to attack and get in the break, but it was never the right group. At one point I thought this is it, I was in a small group in and we had around ten seconds but AG2R brought it back and that was my last attempt. Four riders slipped away a bit later but not for long.”
“As the stage went on and the race settled down, I was able to find and hold a good spot in the bunch and find my rhythm. I like the roads and the terrain here, it’s a beautiful part of France and the crowds and support for us here has been great.”
