Lozano finishes 44th on GC at Vuelta Asturias

David Lozano (ESP)
“Today was a good stage for me, up and downs all the way with about 3500m altitude. I felt well after yesterday and I was familiar with the final climb, Alto de Naranco. I knew what to expect but I did miss the punch to stay with the front group on the climb.”
“I finished 44th on the General Classification but I know I can do better. Now I’ll focus on recover a bit and prepare to my next race: Tour of Hongrie.“
Sport Director, Massimo Podenzana (ITA)
“We came to Asturias expecting a tough race, and so it was. The level was very high with fast pace all the way.”
“This race was a great preparation for the upcoming ones. We look ahead now to Tour de Hongrie next week, where last year David came very close to bringing home the King of Mountain jersey. We’ll look for a podium there to show the world that we can compete against the best and diabetes does not hold us back.”
