Paris-Camembert & Route de Adelie Vitre on the horizon for Team Novo Nordisk
31 March 2025
Team Novo Nordisk is settling in for Spring in France with two more franco one day semi classics on the horizon after last week’s Cholet Agglo Tour. Next up comes the 89th edition of Paris-Camembert followed two days later by the 45th Route de Adelie Vitre.
Czech sprinter Matyas Kopecky and Italian rouleur Filippo Ridolfo went deep in both of last week’s races and suffered with a little misfortune and the unpredictability of one day racing in the finals. Both will lead the line again in France this week.
“As we saw last week in Cholet, anything can happen in these one-day races,” said General Manager Vassili Davidenko. “One minute you’re there and the next attacks have split the group and you’re chasing. This time we all need to be switched on throughout, because there are no easy races at this level, no gifts and Paris-Camembert and Route de Adelie Vitre will be no exception”
“Due to injuries we’ve had to make a couple of changes to the line up to have our strongest team available and the guys are motivated to improve upon last weeks results from both Koksijde and Cholet Agglo. The goal for both races is to arrive in the final in the best shape possible to give Matyas every chance to go for a result.”
French neo pro Celestin Wattelle will be making his first senior professional appearance for TNN, ready to enjoy the special feeling of doing so on home soil.
“I am very exited to start my season,” said Wattelle. “It feels like a long winter has passed and I feel that it has been beneficial. Of course the first race will be a shock to the system and the body, but I’m ready for it.”
“Starting my pro career in two classic French races like Paris-Camembert and Route de Adelie Vitre is very special. Racing in the junior categories the atmosphere and the crowd were always fantastic and I can imagine that at this level it will be even more so.”
Wattelle will be joined in support by Manxman Sam Brand, Italians Antonio Polga and Umberto Poli and Aussie Declan Irvine fresh from a gritty ride in the break in Cholet last week.
