Perracchione Sprints to Top 10 Finish in Tour of Hellas Finale

The final stage of the Tour of Hellas saw Team Novo Nordisk’s Alessandro Perracchione deliver a commendable performance, securing a top 10 finish in a fast-paced sprint into Athens’ Syntagma Square.
The 156.57 km stage commenced from Marathon, leading the peloton through historic sites and along the Athenian Riviera before culminating in the heart of Athens. The route featured intermediate sprints in Artemis and Voula, with a categorized climb in Keratea, testing the riders’ endurance and strategy.
Despite not feeling at his peak during the initial segments, Perracchione conserved energy effectively for the decisive sprint. His efforts culminated in a strong surge towards the finish line, earning him a place among the top finishers.
Reflecting on the day’s performance, Perracchione stated, “Today I didn’t feel too great, so I tried to save as much energy as possible for the sprint. Then the sprint went well and I made it into the top 10.”
Sports Manager Daniel Holt said, “Today’s stage was perfectly suited for Alessandro, and he almost pulled off a podium.”
