Sean Walsh Snags Top 5 in AG at Culpeper Triathlon

On September 10, Team Novo Nordisk triathlete, Sean Walsh, powered to a top 5 in his age group at the Culpeper International Triathlon in Culpeper, Virginia. Below, the Danish Ironman, diagnosed with diabetes at age 29, breaks down his experience at the event.

“The bike leg was marked by a hilly and technical course, with lots of twisty descents and quick steep climbs.

I finished just off the podium in my age group, but I’m proud of my effort in a crowded field. For one of my last races of the year, I was able to push my highest power and highest heart rate yet. Hopefully, a good sign for future late season results!”
