Sun breaks through and brings the crowds on stage three in Limousin

Head Sports Director Massimo Podenzana:
“I couldn’t understand some of the tactics early on today’s stage, attacks that went nowhere and caused splits that benefitted no one. But that’s how it went, and we lost ground on the first category climb at the 50 kilometer mark. From then on we were chasing.”
“The break went late, nine riders attacked and that proved to be the selection where the stage victory came from. It was nice to see the teamwork from Andrea, David and Sam Brand. They were in it together, they helped each other and finished alongside each other in the same group.”
Andrea Peron:
“The first 30 kilometers today, I felt really good. It was fast and I was going well, up there in the first part of the bunch…and then we hit the first climb and ciao. I couldn’t hold the pace and the race split into two large groups.”
“David, Sam and I were in the second bunch on the road and we worked our socks off for each other to make sure we stayed there, it was hard but we made it and there’s one more stage to go.”
