Team Effort Shines Despite Setbacks on Day 2 in Canada

15 June 2024

The second stage of the Tour de Beauce came with a 164 km long route, challenging Team Novo Nordisk Development Team with varied terrain and a competitive field.

Development Team General Manager Daniel Holt:

“Today’s stage saw the team in high spirits and ready to execute our strategy. Knowing that the yellow jersey team would likely control the race, we planned to stick together at the front, focus on nutrition, and set up Celestin (Wattelle) for the final sprint.”

“Our riders performed well, maintaining strong positions throughout the day and ensuring they stayed hydrated and fueled. Unfortunately, Celestin got a flat tire with 10km to go at exactly the wrong time. I was happy to have everyone in the second on the road though.”

“Overall, it was a day of mixed fortunes, but our team set a positive tone for the rest of the Tour de Beauce.”
