Team Novo Nordisk returns to China for the first time since 2019. The world’s first all diabetes professional cycling team will line up in Tour of Taihu Lake from 14 – 17 September.
“It’s been a long wait for us to be back racing in China and we’re looking forward to it immensely,” said General Manager Vassili Davidenko. “We have a history of good results there and our goal is to take advantage of every opportunity that comes up in Taihu Lake, show our jersey and share our message as much as possible.”
“We’ve got four days of challenging racing ahead of us and a young, versatile team to take on that challenge. Our technical partner Santic are based there and we are excited to be able to collaborate together at the Tour of Taihu Lake.”
After testing his form in the recent UCI gravel World Cup in Italy and receiving positive feedback, Declan Irvine is anticipating a strong performance.
“I’m feeling excited to go to China and try to get a result for myself. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to go into a race and go for a result for myself so I’m looking forward to that,” Irvine said.
“I’m feeling really good post-Denmark, carried good form into the last UCI gravel World Cup in Italy last week where I just missed out on a top 20 result. So, hoping I can keep the momentum going in Taihu lake.”
