Tour of the Gila Stage 2

Development Team General Manager Daniel Holt:

“Today was supposed to be an easy day since the strongest team had the lead and would likely control the race all day. I encouraged a couple of guys to try for the breakaway because there was a chance it would it stay away.

Logan managed to get into the first breakaway, but he dropped back into the bunch as the climbs began to take their toll.

There was a huge crash mid-race with around 50 riders on the ground. Antonio and Nathan both hit the deck and thankfully both are ok.

The rest of the stage was pretty controlled and Nathan and Quinten were able to survive in the reduced group. In the end, it came down to a bunch sprint, and Quinten did a great job finishing 15th!”
