Wattelle’s Strong Finish Highlights Tour de Beauce Opener

The Tour de Beauce kicked off with a thrilling first stage, and Team Novo Nordisk Development Team had clear strategies in place: look for an early break right from the start or just after the second KOM, then ride together to support Celestin (Wattelle) for the field sprint. The team’s efforts paid off, demonstrating both skill and a bit of luck by staying clear of numerous crashes that marked the day.

Development Team General Manager Daniel Holt:

“Celestin delivered a great performance, staying at the front and out of trouble throughout the race. His efforts were rewarded with a top 10 finish in the field sprint of his group. Josh (Brown) also maintained a solid position within the group and played a crucial role in leading out Celestin for the sprint finish. His determination was evident, and he even managed to pick up some KOM points early in the race, proving his strength.”

“Overall, it was a solid showing for us on this first day of the race. The guys’ ability to navigate the course, stay clear of crashes, and work together, especially in support of Celestin, was great.
